The Culinary Business Institute are the experts in business education aimed at anyone who desires to enter a culinary home-based opportunity. We are the best, teaching valuable information since 1991, and we only associate with other companies who are also the best in the field.

The United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) is the absolute best when it comes to providing support and benefits to working Personal Chefs. By far the largest such professional trade organization where Personal Chefs of all levels can expand their self-owned business, learn from other working Personal Chefs, and enjoy benefits that may be too costly if procured at the individual level. For example, a USPCA membership includes liability insurance for your home-based business – which represents 90% of working Personal Chefs today. This business liability insurance would cost roughly twice as much as a USPCA membership – meaning, a USPCA membership immediately saves you money for your mandatory liability insurance. Why so low? USPCA has thousands of members, and through the power of volume, they are able to negotiate a substantial discount for each member. Complete details can be found at www.uspca.com, or call them at 800-995-2138 ext 705.

The USPCA, in addition to being the largest such trade organization, is also the first such organization, and the best in every measurable fashion. The Culinary Business Institute is proud to be endorsed by the USPCA for excellence in culinary business education. The USPCA mandates that every new member enroll in the Culinary Business Institute Personal Chef training program and successfully pass the national Personal Chef Certificate examination series. And better yet, the Culinary Business Institute Personal Chef Service business training cost is included with your initial USPCA membership fee. For years the annual USPCA membership cost has been $350, but please contact USPCA to get the latest information. The cost for the mandatory business training represents half of your dues – and not an additional out-of-pocket cost to you as you get your business up and operational.

The USPCA has working Personal Chef members in each of the 50 states, and at one time also had members throughout Canada. Now, the Canadian members are served through another professional organization, dedicated to Canadians, their specific laws and codes.

A USPCA membership includes (in addition to your business liability insurance), discounts on items used by Personals Chefs, like packaging products, member interaction on recipe development and the ability to converse with other Personal Chefs about specific marketing, pricing and operations details. Each member has grown their culinary business and has learned important facts along the way simply by being dedicated and involved in running their own business – and these learned lessons may very well apply to others. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel, or make a mistake which others probably also made, and for which they have a solution for.

And the USPCA provides a national conference, where members from across the country can meet other members in-person, attend workshops which include business elements to additional revenue sources which any Personal Chef can apply, if so desired. Featured speakers include celebrity chefs (not just chefs on a cable network show, but real, honest professional chefs who can shed light on a variety of areas of importance to all Personal Chefs. Please contact the USPCA for details about their upcoming conference. There is a fee associated, but the amount of information you will receive is almost overwhelming, and all your associated hard cost are a business tax deduction. Pretty much a win-win situation.

The USPCA national headquarters is in Orlando, FL, but that doesn’t mean much for the member as all interaction is conducted via phone, email, website and zoom meetings. Other than attending a live conference, all business dealings with USPCA and/or members is easily accomplished from the comfort of your own home office.

Another wonderful benefit of USPCA membership is the free national listing of your business via Hire-A-Chef. This listing service allows the member to create their own custom listing (some restrictions apply to size and images) – and Hire A Chef is promoted by USPCA so that the public can explore the Personal Chefs operating in their area. Not having your business promoted in Hire A Chef means missing out on potential clients who are seeking your services.
